Before I started shooting the second season of MTV’s The Hard Times of RJ Berger, I decided I needed to get into better shape for my upcoming shirtless scenes. I mean, I’ve always been in good shape, but have never hit the peak condition I desired (what can I say, I like to eat). So, I started training hard on my own but still couldn’t break through my plateaus I always hit. Then a friend recommended I train with Mike. He got me into the best shape of my life in no time. He used muscle confusion, so we were changing the workouts constantly, not allowing my body to get used to the same old routines. He was also extremely creative and made up a ton of his own combo moves. When it came to shooting the shirtless scenes I couldn’t be more confident. Thank you Mike!
Group Fitness Badass
Simply put, I gave up Taco Tuesday for this man. The only class of Mike’s that I can make is 6:30pm at Equinox in Westwood and I miss this class FOR NO ONE. I have postponed dates because I cannot, repeat CANNOT, miss Power Sculpt with Mike. His energy is incredible and I leave his class feeling so much more badass (and a little more like Beyoncé) than when I walked in. He pushes you beyond the point of exhaustion and THAT’S where you see results. He is BY FAR the best fitness instructor that I have come across because his fitness routine doesn’t only train you on the outside, it hits everything inside as well. I am a stronger person because of Mike and I wake up every Wednesday, Thursday, sometimes even Friday, feeling sore but AWESOME. Fitness is not an easy hobby but there are instructors like Mike who teach classes that become a priority in everyday life.

Mike has been my personal trainer for over four years and it amazes me the physical condition he has brought me to. I am turning 60 this year and am truly in the best shape of my life. I had worked with a few other trainers over the years but was never inspired to push myself until Mike. He finds a way to always come up with something new & creative while making sure my posture is correct so I don’t hurt myself.
What truly sets him apart is his willingness to participate in his clients individual goals. When I started training with Mike I also took up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Mike has joined me for multiple BJJ training camps and private lessons enabling him to hit the mat with me for the cardio every workout. Not many trainers would subject themselves to the rigors of this sport. Being choked out is not always fun. LOL. As a further example, he even participated in Tough Mudder with one of his other clients. Mike is definitely one of LA’s great trainers.
Exercise Video Guru
Mike, I would like to consider myself an exercise video guru. I’ve tried pretty much everyone over the past 13 years and my collection is impressive. I have a love/hate relationship with working out as many people do. Recently I’ve fallen back into some bad habits and need to lose a few lbs and tone up. Never before have I felt so compelled to write a thank you to an instructor. I recently purchased Extreme Burn: Ripped. I cannot tell you how much I love these workouts! I’m a busy mom and most days all I have time for is a half hour session. Your video makes the most of this time with highly effective and innovative moves. Like I said, I’ve done most of the big names in fitness DVDs, but your video has me so excited and has brought my motivation back to life. Your instruction keeps me pushing to keep at it no matter what. I’m looking forward to reaching my goals and I will be purchasing more of your videos. Thank you thank thank you- you’ll never know how much you have already changed my life.

If you want to get into the best shape of your life and look the best you’ve ever looked, then you definitely have to work with Mike! In just 2 months, Mike helped transform my body into one that I was proud of! I started working with Mike 4 months after I had my first baby and 2 months before my wedding, so Mike was faced with not only having to help me lose the extra “baby weight” but also having to get me into wedding shape. Besides wanting to tighten my tummy, I also wanted to target my arms since I was going to be wearing a strapless dress. That was a big task for me, since I have had an issue with my arms for as long as I remember. I hated the way they looked in pictures, and I have always wanted to cover them up. With the wedding set for Cabo, covered arms were not an option! Within a couple weeks, I could see a huge difference in not only my arms but other areas too: my stomach was flatter, my legs were thinner and more toned, and I started noticing nice definition in my back. I was also so much stronger than before!
Mike kept me motivated during every workout, with different and very challenging routines, and was so much fun to work out with – the hour would fly by! I looked forward to each session. I worked out consistently before Mike, but I never saw the results I wanted. After working out with Mike, I now realize what an efficient workout entails, and that is something that will stay with me forever. I wish I could work out with him all the time!! He’s a real treat…you’ll LOVE him!!

I’ve been training with Mike since January 2009 and the transformation has been profound!!! I have lost 60 pounds and I am more toned than I have ever been in my life. I had been working out on my own for years, but wasn’t getting the results I wanted. Mike not only showed me the proper way to train, he gave me a diet and nutrition plan, but most importantly provided me with the inspiration, motivation and encouragement I needed to accomplish my goals. He’s professional, well educated in the field, and has a great sense of humor. He is a great coach!!!
For any of you who are considering a trainer, I would highly recommend Mike! I can tell you that the physical transformation I went through is only one of the benefits of training with him. When you totally change your physical body, your overall health improves and your inner self improves as well. My entire outlook on life has changed.

Mike is an outstanding trainer. His sessions are always challenging and fun. His routines keep your muscles guessing and your heart pumping. I achieved my goal weight in just four months with a combination of his meal plan and workouts. More importantly, I felt I could trust his judgment when it came to listening to my limitations and expectations. Mike has an uncanny ability to know how far to push and when to back off, always concerned for safety and wellbeing. That is what makes him outstanding.
